Official launch! I'm heading north!

It’s official, I’m leaving tomorrow. I’ll be doing the leg between North Miami and Pompano. Since the winds have been holding steadily at 25 mph for a few days, I’ll start in the intracoastal. Bruno is going to drive me to the ramp and take my car back to his place.

Once in Pompano, I’ll be staying at Bruno Munoz’ place. The next day I’ll have to make it to Peanut Island quite a few miles away. I may have the opportunity to travel on the ocean side if the forecast is accurate.

It’s all very unreal for me right now. I’m at the South Beach Hostel on keg night. The place looks like a frat house. I may as well enjoy it since I’ll be mostly by myself for a long while. I’m leaving at 5 am, the beer buzz should wear off by then.
